Careers at Theia
Why Theia?
Do you want to join a growth company and help change the motion capture industry through our disruptive technology? We want to hear from you!
Measuring human movement has been a growing technology sector for the past 40 years. Whether used for sports performance or animation, the traditional technology was intrusive, and required markers or sensors placed on the participant. Our objective at Theia is to radically change the human movement industry. We capture synchronized video from an array of cameras and use machine vision and artificial intelligence to accurately represent a performance or action that previously required cumbersome sensors.
As a dynamic, emerging company poised to revolutionize the biomotion industry, we are searching for creative, perceptive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individuals to help us redefine what it means to understand human movement using artificial intelligence.
Working Here
We are a remote but tight-knit team that grew out of an amazing moonshot research project. And we’re still growing. As we work to refine our software, build inroads to new markets, and support our customers, we are on the lookout for people interested in a workplace that values individuality, creativity, initiative, work ethic, and productivity.
Our work requires many different types of people who are excited to be an integral part of a growing company. As a young start-up, we need all kinds of people: from creative innovators to thoughtful doers, quiet steadfast types to outgoing “people people,” and everything in between. What’s more, we need folks who are interested in working across disciplines to get the job done.
Working here means an opportunity to be yourself, collaborate with interesting people, learn as you work, and contribute to big, ambitious goals — while intentionally cultivating a meaningful work-life balance.
How We Hire
We hire people, not resumes. We value a growth mindset, and strive to model it in our approach to hiring. That means we’re interested in discovering how you approach challenges and learning, alongside your skills and previous work history.
Our hiring process is comprehensive. We want you to learn about the role, the company, as well as the obstacles and opportunities we face — so that you can make an informed decision about working here.
We want to know how working at Theia fits into the story of your career, how it facilitates your professional goals, and how your contributions might fuel our growth and evolution as an organization.
Ultimately, we’re looking for people who like doing good work. Give us a chance to see who you are, then we’ll see where this goes.
